Columbian Blacktail Deer

Our blacktail deer hunts are conducted on A zone private ranches in the County of Mendocino near Hopland and Laytonville, CA.

The terrain consists of open fields, rolling hills, forests, canyons and brush with an abundance of natural springs which makes this ideal country to glass the mountain sides and oak edges looking for that monster blacktail. We will use methods of spot and stalk to hunt the deer. The ranches we hunt are private which allows us to keep hunting pressure low, allowing bucks to mature to old age. Our success rate is high on this hunt since all of our deer hunts are one on one guided. A zone deer tags are sold over the counter.

The archery season opens the 2nd Saturday in July and continues for twenty-three consecutive days. The general season opens the 2nd Saturday in August and continues for forty-four consecutive days. Whether you would like to hunt with archery equipment or a rifle we can make it happen. Handicapped hunters are welcome. This is a guaranteed opportunity spot and stalk hunt.

Cost of Hunt

Blacktail Deer hunt: $8,500.00USD for 5 days of hunting.

Pig hunt: $2,500.00USD for 2 days of hunting.

Bear hunt: $5,500.00USD for 4 days of hunting.

Blacktail Deer, black bear and wild pig 5-day hunt: $11,500.00USD

Blacktail Deer and bear combo : $10,500USD

Blacktail Deer and pig combo: $9,500.00USD

Deposit $4,000.00USD at time of booking, balance due 60 days before hunt.

Hunt Cost Includes

All of our fully outfitted hunts include a private hunt with a professional guide
Transportation among the ranches in UTVs is provided.
Field dressing and skinning as well as trophy preparation of game is included.
You will stay in cabins. The cabin has a full bathroom with hot water.
All meals are provided and served in the main cabin.
